ECRI Institute has released its annual list of the top ten potential device-related dangers to patient safety.  According to ECRI Institute, clinical alarm hazards remain at the top of the list for 2014 due to their prevalence, their potential to result in serious patient harm, and the increased attention they will receive from the Joint Commission in the coming year.
